\Honey I think its down to racism and there is a hell of a lot of that in America more so as you say than other countries. Should my horse be shod or not? Please help!?

My horse is 15 years old and has never been shod. She is a Tennessee Walker and has a naturally smooth gait. I'm not sure how she will do with the shoes, I just got her. Do you have a career center at your high school or local community college? That would be a good place to find more information. You may not be able to be an intern without any training or a college degree, but you could at least find a psychologist who will discuss their job with you. Job shadowing is a good option too, but due to rules on confidentiality, you probably wouldn't be able to sit in on a therapy session.

Has anyone experienced harm from an epidural?

I had an epidural with my daughter, and nothing was wrong with her. If it wasn't safe for the baby, they wouldn't even offer it. The only thing I didn't like was I was too numb. I had no pain, so can't complain about that, but I also couldn't feel the contractions at all or when to push. The doctor would say "push" and I kept having to ask "am I pushing?" because I couldn't feel anything below the waist, so I wasn't sure. Epidurals are very helpful for the pain(as long as they don't ware off beforehand), but the right dosage is important for delivery. Obviously I was pushing ok because she was out in 3 pushes, but I would've enjoyed it much more if I were able to feel it a little and know when I was having contractions instead of having to go by what everyone else was telling me. I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with baby number two, and plan to have another one. Maybe this time just not as strong.

i went to Niagara falls 3 times and the one i went in gr.9 was the most interesting one. first we went to the main building to go see the 4-D screening about the history of the falls. later on, we went to this forest which is minutes away from the main falls (the part people usually go to) but it's still part of the falls but it's just the river parts. sorry if that part is confusing but anyways, we all went hiking in that location and learnt about how the falls used to be bigger. that part was fun but scary because we where next to the raging river. you should really try going there. i forgot the name of that place but like i said, it's still part of the falls but you don't see the actual falls. by the way, this is the Canadian part of the falls. hope this helps you

I am a bit strange in my ways, but i live by them. First u need to figure out the exact place u want to end, i usually write the last few chapters first. Then put urself into that last scene where u got stuck and pretend u r the protagonist... and speak to the other characters. Its easier to think up how they will respond if u feel like u r really talking to them. U dont have to do it aloud, but try it before u call me crazy. :)

Did i have food poisoning or heat stroke?

saturday night i went out, had about 10 drinks the last drink i had was at about 1:30am, then i had a donner kebab that didnt taste very nice so gave half to my friend, the next morning i felt ok, it was 31 degrees outside and went to the gym with no air conditioning and was really hot, went home and sat in the garder for no more than about 2 hours mostly in the shade. i was really tired and didnt feel to good so went to sleep then woke up at 10:30 and threw up everywhere, all the food from the day came out, then i got really hot and sweaty but felt freezing and full body aches and was really bad all night waking up to be sick. then when i woke up at 3pm the next day and felt alot better and got better as the day went on and now i feel fine, 2 of my friends who ate a kebab from the same place were ill as well. i dont think it woiuld be the alcohol because i was ill at least 21 hours after my last drink. and was ill 20 hours after i ate the kebab. i didn't have a hangover i felt fine in the morning and also my heart rate was 110 bpm when it is normally about 72

LCD vs. Plasma Televisions?

However, upon visiting several stores and witnessing the technology for myself firsthand, I found it hard to tell the difference in overall video quality. Some plasmas and LCD's had very little differences in terms of contrast and brightness of colors. Some plasmas looked better than LCD's, and some LCD's looked better than plasmas. Even the high refresh rates of plasmas seemed insignificant when watching a sporting event when compared to the LCD's. Motion blur didn't seem noticeable on either. After seeing both for myself, I must ask: Is simply having a more colorful picture with darker blacks and whiter whites and less motion blur really necessary? I'm begging the question: Are the differences in video quality so significant that I should go with a plasma? Dont go karting at your age, go into racing. You may want to look into NASA (national auto sport association). It has given me very good experience since you go onto a track with a very competent instructor who teaches you the basics of high performance driving. After a few years you could probably start racing in the club and win prizes which would set you up for sponsorships and a racing future. Being able to race is not just experience however, it takes a lot of raw, natural talent as well. Hope you got some of that :)

Sharp shooting pain in head, is it serious?

Hi I'm 15 and today while I was playing video games I felt a popping sensation toward the middle of my head more towards where my neck is located. After that I felt a quick sharp pain towards the back of my neck, after the pain my neck felt hot like if it were burning. After theses sensations went away I got another sharp intense pain that started on left side of the back of my neck and it ran up towards the left side of my head and the pain reached my ear. This pain lasted about 30 seconds. Could this be serious? I sometimes get anxious and I'm worried about strokes and aneurysms.

How to experience poverty firsthand?

I want to do an experiment to see what it is like to live with a low-income or in poverty. The problem (well, a good thing actually) is that I am married, we both work, and have health insurance. I'm certainly not going to give up my job for an experiment so what can I do to do see what it's like to live with little money. I'm 17 years old and haven't started my period yet, is medroxyprogesterone safe?

I have had many different tests done by my doctors to be sure that everything is okay, which it is! They finally came to the conclusion that I'm just a late bloomer, she prescribed me a med. that would help me start, Medroxyprogestrone. I got it and was going to take then I started reading more about it, the risks and side affects have began to worry me a little bit. I hit the front of my head above my forehead 5 minutes ago on a wooden surface (window sill) moderately hard and saw the color blue for a split second before it went away. I have an extremely mild headache now. Please note: I did not lose consciousness, I am not vomiting or seeing colors anymore, no stroke symptoms, no altered mental state, etc. I do have a mild headache however, and at one point some mild pain behind my left eye, but no otrher symptoms. I am not dizzy and can walk fine. What concerned me was the brief flash of blue. Should i go to the doctors?

Social life without drinking...?

I'm 16, so obviously I shouldn't be drinking in the first place, but most of my friends do drink and get stoned and all that, and quite honestly that's not my style at all. I've seen firsthand the effects of alcohol and drugs and it's not something I want to get involved with. My mother fell the other night and her housemate did not call us she said because she was able to get her up. She is 88. Mother had a stroke a couple of weeks ago while having a stent put in her heart. She is weak and walks with a cane. This is the second head injury in two weeks. I wish the lady had called one of us who live only blocks away. Roomy is having difficulty accepting her limitations and it has caused discord between us. Last week she was rushed to the emergency room for waterig the grass in 105 degree weather and falling herself. My brother and I have been staying at my mothers house day and night for the last two weeks and as she got better and could walk around without help went home for the nights and asked to be called for anything that was needed. The roomy doesn't need anything she says. She can do it all and is supposed to be on a cane herself. I am worried.

This is mostly concerning members of touring companies of musicals/plays, but could apply to basically anyone who makes their living on the road (bands, other types of shows, etc). Injury reoccuring from ten months ago?

About ten months ago I hurt my knee, I think during breast stroke. I saw a doctor and physical therapist for four months to heal it, ultimately it felt better. I was told no breast stroke for a looong time. they never were sure exactly what was wrong because neither ordered an MRI. They said it could be mcl, meniscus, or plica, but that if pt helped I'd be fine. Well, a few days ago I accidentally kicked one breaststroke kick while trying to get back to the surface.Now, my knee hurts again in the exact same place! I test drove it and thought the ride was fine, though I found the steering to be not as sensitive as I'd like. Overall, I liked it, but I'm concerned about mechanical issues just based off online reviews--but then again, a lot of them are from slightly older models, and I'm not sure whether Jeep has improved with the newer Liberties. So I guess my question would be, have you had mechanical problems--4x4 not working properly, etc? I know it's not the smoothest ride and the gas mileage sucks, so I'd really like to hear more about mechanical stuff than that, but any and all opinions are welcome and helpful as I try to decide what to buy :) I'm also looking at Escapes, but I like the Jeep's more rugged appearance and based on what I've read I think it's more off-road capable. i do not see how you wont make it into UC Berkeley. you have an impressive college resume with those high standardized test scores and extracurricular activities. the only problem you may face is the economy. I always thought he was probably an actual person, but lately I am not so sure. There's no direct evidence, and the gospels themselves were written 100 - 200 years after he lived. So there's no eyewitness testimony that could possibly have been written by someone who actually saw Jesus. christians sometimes drag out the old chestnut of "Well there's more proof for Jesus than Julius Caesar," but this fallacy is easily trumped by the fact that we have accounts written by Caesar himself and coins of him minted during his reign. This is first-hand evidence. No such luck with Jesus, and he didn't leave a scrap of his own writing so all we know is what other people said about him. The REAL founder of christianity, Saul of Tarsus, doesn't even acknowledge any historical accounts of Jesus (other than his hallucination), which you think he would do if Jesus had actually existed. I just don't see a single piece of hard evidence. What do you think?

I own an iPod touch. I was reluctant to buy one at first, because of the price. It didn't really seem worth it to me, but I can honestly say it was. It is extremely useful for all sorts of things. Anger at other bereaved - is it ok?

Ok, this might be hard to understand. I'm angry at other people on a forum I use. We have all lost a close family member, but most are 20-30 yrs older than me. However, they all make a far bigger deal about it. I'm not saying it's not a big deal, believe me, it turned my life upside down, but I have lost more since then, and even though I'm a lot younger than they are, I'm not completely self-obsessed. How can I find out if I had a stroke?

I think I had a stroke because my mouth (both corners) have drooped down a bit. Mostly the right side of my mouth. When I eat the corner of my right mouth goes down and it happens sometimes when I talk. It started happening when I was 18. I'm 20 now and I think it got worse. I also got a retinal tear when I was 19 on the right side of my eye. I fell suddenly on the ground a few minutes after having a laser procedure done for my eye. How come they don't make 2 stroke dirtbikes anymore?

How come only 2 of the big four Dirtbike manufactures make 2 strokes. I really don't like 4 strokes it just costs to much to maintain. The argument that it isn't fuel efficient is BS because look at BRP's skidoo ETEC snowmobiles! They are two stroke and they use the same amount of gas as the four strokes. I race motorcross and I keep seeing people with 250f an 450f with blown up motors! It costs wayyy more to rebuild one of those compared to a 2 stroke. I have a 2007 cr 125 and I want to stay with honda. I also still have my cr 85 and I have a Honda foreman atv. I have never ha any real big problems with any of them. Can I grow a cane-stem begonia in a betta tank?

on a regular basis, I water propagate my cane-stem begonias (I believe they are either an Angel Wing B. or a B. Marguerite DeCola). I've been wanting to put those that I am propagating in my Betta's tank but I am worried it could be harmful. I've seen things on the web which say that cane-stem begonias are not poisonous to humans or pets (dogs/cats) and that it is generally fine to grow a variety of plants in a Betta tank. I was hoping someone here had firsthand experience in these two organism's cohabitation. Besides toxicity, I'm also concerned that the tank does not have filtration. I'm guessing if the begonia is not toxic to the betta, I'll at least have to change the water more often and cut back the begonia roots to avoid rot.

I'm going to the gym 4 times a week with a good mix of cardio and weight lifting. For the lifting I'm just using a little whey protein. Which seems to be going along way. Does this sound like a concussion?

I hit my head yesterday night at around 10 pm ( now its 300 pm where I live) and experienced a brief flash of blue, followed my a minor headache and minor head pressure. I did not experience any oother hemmorrhage, stroke, or concussion other than those symptoms. Today, the headache remains, and there is still minor head pressure, but nothing else. Husband lies about money with no income of his own. HELP!!?

I had a stroke a couple of years ago and it messed up he left side of my body, I can't drive, walk,work or anything else I used to do. My husband runs the errands for the house now (yes, unemployed). He has access to my bank card because if we need something he goes and gets it, etc... Well, he also gets him a bottle when he does these errands, he will admit he's an alcoholic without hesitation. Before my incident we did not have this problem. I have no one to talk to about this or get advice because my situation is different. i.e.-I can't just pack my things and move, the left side of my body doesn't work. How come they stopped making 2 stroke dirtbikes?

How come only 2 of the big four Dirtbike manufactures make 2 strokes. I really don't like 4 strokes it just costs to much to maintain. The argument that it isn't fuel efficient is BS because look at BRP's skidoo ETEC snowmobiles! They are two stroke and they use the same amount of gas as the four strokes. I race motorcross and I keep seeing people with 250f an 450f with blown up motors! It costs wayyy more to rebuild one of those compared to a 2 stroke. I think Noah is a good name. I guess it depends on where you are on how popular it is. Its only a question you and your spouse can decide. Some people like very common names , while some don't. I was at the water slides yesterday, and it was cloudy, so I thought I wouldn't get burnt... So I didn't put on sunscreen. I certainly learned my lesson. Anyway, my friend says that I might have heat stroke...But I don't think it's that bad. Could I handle a 250cc dirtbike?

Breast stroke technique help?

so i just started my swimming lessons ( i've only had 2 so far) and my teacher taught me to do the breast stroke first. He keeps telling me not to whip my legs but to slowly kick them and relax them, but whenever i do that, i barely move, but when i whip/kick em back i do move (not very fast though since i just started). So can any1 tell me the proper technique for b stroke. also should i take a breath every 2 or 1 strokes? thx

Am I Haunted or is my house haunted?

Pet rat back problems/lump?

This is most likely a tumor. Both of my rats passed recently from tumors. They don't usually cause rats pain because 90% of them are belign. They may cause discomfort when the rat is becoming an elder and is sick, or what not. If it's not a tumor, its probably is her spine. This is caused by not using the back legs. You can go to the vet, make sure he's very reputable, though. I hope I helped.
