Why do people look down on the show 'Swamp People'?

I love the show and am extremly intrested in There way of life and have seriusly thaught i want to live like that when i get older! and your right they are helping the gators im a hunter and i know if You dont shoot the animal they will get overpopulated and will lose all food sources and many will suffer to death. and thats how thAts what there ancesters did and how they make a living if we take away alligator hunting and the cajun lifestlye we just lost a huge part of our countrys history.
