What color contacts should I get?

After 12 years of having to wear glasses I can finally get contacts! Yes, my eyes suck. I'm 14 (almost 15! :D), pretty preppy but more on the goth side of things I'd say... My hair is medium brown and I'm tan. My face is round (meh.) and I have light moss-green eyes. I love them but I want something unique that some people won't like. I've heard purple just makes your eyes look dark... But has anyone had any firsthand experience with them? I think red would be a bit far out there, but maybe a light amber would be cute... Any and all ideas are appreciated! :)
