Atheists/non-Christians: why do u hate God/bible when you've never tried to understand it?

Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who has an ounce of intelligence and uses an open mind will not be a christian after reading the bible. It is pure garbage and not even a good story and few, if any, who call themselves christian actually follow the book they claim to be "the word of god", which was written and compiled by MAN.
